The processes that regulate maintenance functions of living organisms are called Life processes.

Heterotrophic nutrition is a type of nutrition in which organisms depend upon other organisms for food to survive.

Villi

The inner lining of the small intestine has numerous finger-like projections called villi.

Arteries

Arteries are the vessels which carry blood away from the heart to various organs of the body.

Veins

Veins collect the blood from different organs and bring it back to the heart.
